Tie-on stitches - a set of stitches placed closely together at the beginning of a design, or after a color change, thread trim or jump stitch (floating stitch) to secure the thread to the fabric and prevent unraveling. Tie-off stitches - a set of stitches placed closely together at the end of a design or before a color change, trim or jump stitch (floating stitch) to secure the thread to the fabric and prevent unraveling. Embird software automatically creates tie-on and tie-off stitches when needed, and also allows the embroiderer seeking extra security to insert tie-on and tie-off stitches to a selected area of the embroidery or to a whole design with a single click. |
