Tiny Fleur-de-Lys
The fleur-de-lys (flower of the lily) is a stylized
image of the flower of a trumpet lily. One symbolic interpretation of
the fleur-de-lys is that it represents the doctrine of the Trinity* because - in its
stylized form - it appears as three curves bound together. It is also
associated with the Virgin Mary, mother of Jesus, and is a symbol of
France.
This design is sized to be suitable for applications
such as collar tips, or a string of them might be used as a border.
* Trinity - the doctrine that God is one
God in three Persons who are in every way co-equal in divinity, God the
Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit.
