Simplified Celtic Cross
About 600 AD, early in the history of Celtic Christianity,
the distinctive theme of interlaced knotwork emerged, and is now seen as
the defining theme of Celtic Artwork.
This cross design is a highly simplified Celtic knot, in
the form of a Greek cross, meaning all arms are of equal length.
